It looks like Antenna’s lovely TV presenter Ελεονωρα Μελετη has hooked up with that rich young
heir to millions, Παρη Κατσιδοκωστα.

Παρη was really last heard of when he had become engaged to the social queen of today,
Paris Hilton. He has gone back to his Greek roots now and been seen smooching with Ελεονωρα at Club Cinema in Piraeus whilst they watched a live gig from a band called Onirama.

It is baby boom time in Greece.

For those that have seen Πανος Κιαμος they say that he is a terrific entertainer – well now he and his partner Ζαχαρουλα have welcomed a little girl into their lives… H πιστα της νυχτας and now a μπαμπα too.
The happy couple are thinking about getting married this coming summer…. Με το καλο.
Ελενη Μενεγακη has also had another little child – a baby girl, born 3 kilos and healthy at the Ιασω, the new labour ward to the stars Δεσποινα Βανδη also recently visited there for her addition to her brood.

We wish Ελενη all the best and hope that her little girl inherits mums looks and dads financial know how. A winner combination.

Stelios Puts easyCruiseOne up for Sale; Cancels New-Build Order
easyCruiseOne, the ship that launched serial entrepreneur Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s low-cost easyCruise venture, is up for sale. The cruise line has also confirmed its new-build programme for up to seven new ships has been "shelved."

Sales and marketing director Paul Ellerby said easyCruiseOne was always just a pilot -- to see if the concept of a low-cost cruise would work. The plan now is to buy a ship similar in size to easyCruise Life, a second ship which easyCruise bought in September 2007 and which launches in Piraeus, Greece, on April 19.

easyCruise Life will be sailing seven-night cruises around the Greek islands and to Turkey.

Interesting Stats On World Healthcare
France is tops, Australia is 3rd, Greece 9th just after Germany and the United States dead last, in providing timely and effective healthcare to its citizens, according to a survey Tuesday of preventable deaths in 19 industrialized countries. It looked at death rates in subjects younger than 75 that could have been prevented by timely and effective medical care.

The 19 countries, in order of best to worst, were: France, Japan, Australia, Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Greek Wine Gets Recognition
Madeline Triffon, Master Sommelier of Michigan-based Matt Prentice Restaurant Group, emphatically states that, "Modern Greek wine is a must!" for a 'round-the-world voyage. "We could toast the beginning of the voyage with a special Hellenic quaff, honoring the Greek sailors of old," she suggests. And to do so, she recommends the "floral, dense and smooth" 2006 Katogi Averoff Traminer

Greek deal with EuroFighter
The fighter jet unit of aerospace giant European Aeronautic Defence & Space SA (EADS) signed a €9.7 million deal with Greece’s government controlled aerospace company Hellenic Aerospace Industry SA on February 5. Under the agreement, Hellenic Aerospace will obtain technology and know-how to bolster its airframe design and development capability at a newly created design centre recently opened by the company. The move comes before a much-anticipated tender by the Greek air force to purchase several dozen next- generation fighter aircraft. EADS’ warplane unit, Eurofigher, is one of several companies hoping to win a deal with Greece.
